Oh, so that's what dad did during the war
My dad was 18 when he went to war. This is his story.
I was going to auction dad's war memorabilia until someone online suggested I discover their provenance. Turned out to be quite a story

Dad's Parker-Sykes Fighting knife

Green Beret and cap badge

Uniform patches
As a young Royal Marine Commando, dad was 'recruited' into Ian Fleming's 30 Assault Unit.
His commanding officer was Patrick Dazel-Job, Fleming's inspiration for James Bond. After D-day, 30 AU went into North West France in hot pursuit of intelligence treasure. This is the provenance behind the memorabilia.
