This is mostly about trying to get sentient dust bunnies animated in the most delightful way possible. And a wee James Bond story.
The author attempts to justify his actions in ABOUT. The BLOG explores animation, creativity and the production process. And, to my own surprise, there's also the story of my dad's Commando dagger.
In RAYON & THE DUST BUNNIES there's an introduction to the characters and extracts from the story. My sci-fi stories and travel writing are in OTHER WRITING.
Blog
I'm hoping to make an animated film about sentient and occasionally mouthy household dust bunnies and their existential duel with a 1500 watt vacuum cleaner. The story’s a very serious bit of whimsy in the spirit of The Clangers, The Borrowers and Beatrix Potter's tales.
Rayon & the Dust Bunnies
Nature abhors a vacuum and dust bunnies don’t like them much either. This is the story of Rayon the dust bunny - and his encounter with the vacuum cleaner that’s about to inhale Rayon and all the other tribes of dust bunnies around the house. Meet the cast below and read a chapter or two.
I’m hoping you might enjoy it as animated movie one day too.
We meet Rayon, the newest dust bunny in the house. He’s about to encounter static electricity, Knickers and the Biddies, a tribe of ill-natured dust bunnies found under the bed.
Rayon gets to see the central vac in action for the first time and witnesses what happens to the dust bunny called Pure.
Dust bunnies, The Wind, The Central Vac, The Peoples... the characters you’ll find in Rayon the Dust Bunny and a Vacuum Abhorred
About
This is about having a story about dust bunnies and trying to sneak them into an animated film.
A. Michael Collins is an anagram of the author’s real name, Michael A. Collins. So what's with this A. Michael Collins nonsense?
